Announcements for the Week of 8/9/2026
1. The ushers will now take up the second collection for Catholic Charities of Southern New Mexico.
2. There will be a training for eucharistic ministers on August 11 at 5:30 PM in the church. People who would like to volunteer for this ministry are welcome to join the training.
3. Next Sunday, August 16, we will have a welcome reception and potluck for Fr. Francis after the 11-AM Mass. RSVP to the office and let us know how many will be attending and if you’d like to bring a dish. Everyone is welcome. You don’t have to bring food, but we know there are many great cooks in the parish!
4. Registration for Youth Faith Formation is still happening. Take advantage of the $10 early registration discount by registering today. We will have an in-person registration after Sunday Masses this weekend. Registration forms are also accepted in the church office. Parent meetings are on August 19, and classes start on August 26.
5. OCIA registration is open, and registration forms are available on the website and in the parish office. OCIA classes will take place on Thursdays at 6 PM, beginning on September 3rd. Please call the office if you’d like more information.
6. We will now be scheduling baptisms and baptism classes as needed. Please call or come to the parish office if your child, under seven, needs to be baptized.
7. We have placed a book in the back of the church where you can write your prayer intentions.
Also, we will add a column to the bulletin for sick parishioners in need of prayer. Please call the office if you would like a name added to the bulletin.
8. Some of you may have noticed that we installed a gate in the church that will be closed when there is no Mass. People who come to pray during the day will still be able to use St. Mary’s Room.
9. Now, I would like to invite Paul from Vitalant to give an announcement about the upcoming blood drive.
