Announcements for the Week of 8/16/2026
1. This weekend, we will have the welcome reception for Fr. Francis after the 11-AM Mass. Please join us for food and fellowship!
2. Don’t forget to register your children for Youth Faith Formation. The $10 discount on registration will end on August 22nd. You may register at the parish office or at the parent meetings, which will be this Wednesday, August 19th, at 6 PM for grades 1 through 6, and at 6:45 PM for Confirmation.
3. OCIA registration is still open. If you’re an adult in need of sacraments or are interested in becoming Catholic, please give us a call at the office.
4. We will now be scheduling baptisms and baptism classes as needed. Please call or come to the parish office if your child, under seven, needs to be baptized.
5. We have placed a book in the back of the church where you can write your prayer intentions.
6. We have also added a column to the bulletin for sick parishioners in need of prayer. Please call the office if you would like a name added to the bulletin.
7. Please help us clean up our list of military personnel in the back of the church and in the bulletin. If you know someone who needs to be added or who has retired from service, let us know.
8. Celebrate the Jubilee Year of St. Francis by joining St. Peter’s to reflect on Pope Leo XIV’s prayer to St Francis for Peace on Sunday, August 23rd, in St. Peter Community Room, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Fr. Wayne Hellmann, OFM Conv., will dive into the words of the Pope’s prayer and provide challenging ways to unpack the stanzas. There will be time to reflect in small groups. 9. We will have another Eucharistic Minister Training on August 25th at 5:30 PM, in the church, for those who were unable to attend the previous training.
10. In order to meet our yearly goal, we will start taking a 2nd collection each month for UIM. This month, it will be on the weekend of August 22nd and 23rd. Thank you for all your donations!
