Announcements for the Week of 8/17/2025

1. We ask that you be patient, as the parking lot project is ongoing. Please take care to avoid parking or driving through the places being worked on, and please do not move the cones. If necessary, you may park in the school parking lot. Soon, there will be new pavement around the Good Shepherd statue, and we ask that you not walk in the work zone surrounding it for at least three weeks. If you have business at the office, you may park in front of the hall and use the walkway from there.

2. There will be no Reconciliation or Mass on Tuesday, August 19, because Fr. Jarek will be attending the Vicariate Meeting.

Before the Vicariate Meeting, there will be a 10 AM Mass at the Poor Clare Monastery, which everyone is welcome to attend.

3. Parent meetings for Youth Faith Formation are this Wednesday, August 20, in the parish hall. The meetings will start at 6 PM for the parents of grades 1 – 6, and at 6:45 PM for parents of Confirmation students. You may register after the parent meeting, or at the parish office during business hours. The registration cost goes up to $60 per student on August 21.

4. OCIA will start Sunday, September 7, at 6 PM. If you haven’t registered, you still can! OCIA classes are for adult Catholics who haven’t received all their Sacraments, or for non-Catholic adults who are considering becoming Catholic. Please email us or come to the office to pick up a registration form.

5. The Holy Cross Retreat Center in Las Cruces will be holding the Franciscan Festival of Fine Arts on Labor Day Weekend. There will be over 90 art and food vendors, a Mexican meal or paella, two stages with live music, a silent auction, and donations on entry. Please see the poster for more information.
