Announcements for the Week of 2/22/2026

1. The CRS Rice Bowl is a program that runs in schools and parishes, providing funding for Catholic Relief Services’ food security projects. These projects support agriculture, nutrition, education, and self-sufficiency in communities around the world. Twenty-five percent of the collection is retained in the diocese for anti-poverty programs. For the CRS website, see the flyer on the bulletin boards, and don’t forget to pick up your rice bowl, which is available in the back of the church. The Youth Faith Formation students will also be collecting for this fund.
2. There will be no Reconciliation or Daily Mass on Tuesday, February 24, due to the Vicariate Meeting.
3. Every Friday during Lent, we will have two Stations of the Cross: after 12:10 PM Mass and at 6 PM. We will not have a homily on Fridays so that those who attend Mass during lunchtime can participate in the Stations of the Cross.
4. The marriage group will begin meeting on the first Monday of every month on March 2, from 6 to 7 PM, in the conference room. If you are interested in joining us and would like more information, please call the parish office.
5. The Altar and Rosary Society of Assumption Parish warmly invites all parishioners to join them for the Lenten Retreat on Saturday, March 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Together, we will view the inspiring video series “How to Lent” and share in meaningful discussion and fellowship, along with light refreshments. If you plan to attend, please call the parish office.
6. Thank you to everyone for donating to the Bishop’s 2025 United in Ministry Appeal. In March, we will start the 2026 appeal. This year, the goal for our parish is $54,500. Soon, we’ll provide more information.
