Announcements for the Week of 2/15/2026

1. There will be no OCIA tomorrow/today.


2. Wednesday, February 18, is Ash Wednesday. We will have Masses at 12:10 and 6 PM, and there will be an Ash Wednesday Ecumenical Service at NMMI at 3 PM.


3. On Ash Wednesday, we will have the collection for the Aid to the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, which provides assistance to meet the needs for rebuilding the Church in Eastern Europe. It usually focuses on training seminarians and lay leaders, supporting social service programs, youth ministry, pastoral and catechetical centers, schools, church construction and renovation, evangelization and uniting the Diocese and Universal Church by collective outreach. Thank you for your donations.


4. There are no faith formation classes on Ash Wednesday. Instead, students and their families are encouraged to attend the Mass.


5. Every Friday during Lent, we will have two Stations of the Cross: after 12:10 PM Mass and at 6 PM. We will not have a homily on Fridays so that those who attend Mass during lunchtime can participate in the Stations of the Cross.


6. The marriage group will begin meeting on the first Monday of every month on March 2, from 6 to 7 PM, in the conference room. If you are interested in joining us and would like more information, please call the parish office.


7. Good Sam’s needs donations of new or clean, slightly used blankets. They are located at St. Peter’s and open Monday through Thursday from 9 to 11 AM. They also need volunteers. Please call them if you’d like to help.


8. The Altar and Rosary Society of Assumption Parish warmly invites all parishioners to join them for the Lenten Retreat on Saturday, March 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Together, we will view the inspiring video series “How to Lent” and share in meaningful discussion and fellowship, along with light refreshments.
