Announcements for the Week of 7/20/2025

1. On Friday, we are celebrating the memorial of St. Christopher who, according to belief, protects drivers and their cars. In honor of his memorial, we will have the blessing of cars and other vehicles on Sunday, July 27, at 2 PM in front of the church.

2. The Altar and Rosary Society Garage Sale will be on Saturday, August 2, from 7 am - 11 am in the parish hall. Please save the date to come shop and help support our parish. We will be accepting new and gently used items during the week of July 28 to August 1. Please see the flyer for more information.

3. OCIA, or Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, is for non-Catholic adults who are interested in becoming Catholic, or for Catholic adults who have not had all their sacraments. It is free to register. Please come to the office or email us if you would like a registration form.

4. Registration for Youth Faith Formation is open! Registration forms are available on the Assumption website and in the parish office. In-person registration will be on Wednesday, July 23, from 4 to 7 p in the conference room, and after Sunday Masses the weekend of July 26 and 27. Take advantage of the $20 early registration discount and help ensure we have enough books and supplies for all students.

5. Youth Faith Formation catechists, aides, and substitutes are needed for a few of our classes. Please pray about volunteering for this important ministry for our youth. If you would like to help, download a volunteer application from our website, pick up a form at the church office, or call Carol Dutchover, Director of Religious Education, afternoons Monday through Friday.

6. Mark the dates on your calendar: parent meetings for Youth Faith Formation are on August 20, and our first class is on August 27.
