Announcements for the Week of 9/21/2025

1. We will be holding a Blue Mass honoring our law enforcement and first responder personnel on Monday, September 29 at 6 PM. Please see the flyer for more information.

2. In the back of the church, we are providing cards for you to keep in your wallet, stating, “In the event of an accident, please call a priest.” You will find them on the table by the south door.

3. Next weekend, we will have the Black and Indian Mission Second Collection, which collects funds that are distributed as grants to dioceses, supporting and strengthening evangelization of the black and Indian peoples of the United States.

4. Parking Lot Update:

Phase I and Phase II are now complete. We have received permission from the Diocese to begin Phase III. As soon as the company is available, we will start the next phase. Hopefully, the entire project will be completed soon.

Last week, we installed new lights, making it possible to read a book in the evening while sitting in front of the office.

5. The Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Las Cruces is now accepting applications for its 2025 Religious & Charitable Ministries Grant Program. Grants help fund parish, mission, school, and ministry projects that serve the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable, strengthen Catholic ministries, and promote evangelization.

Grant Amounts: Typically range from $500 to $10,000

Deadline: October 31, 2025

6. The Daniels Scholarship Program is already open. It is among the most prestigious and generous college scholarship opportunities in the country. Daniels Scholars are recognized for their exceptional character, proven leadership, and dedication to serving their communities.

The application is available to graduating high school seniors residing in New Mexico. For more details please check the poster.
